Who it's for: Prospects you've already met with, but the deal never closed.
What it is: A black envelope containing a one-page letter, a printed page of your past correspondence, an "Are you still interested?" sticky note, and a lumpy insert.
Follow-up: After sending, we follow up via email and LinkedIn a couple days after tracking shows it was delivered.
Best for: Small lists. Start with 10-20 people — heck, just send one.
Method 2
The 9-Word Email That Revives Dead Leads
Who it's for: Prospects you've met with but haven't closed.
What it is: The classic "Dean Jackson Email." Subject: {Firstname}. Message: "Are you still interested in {result you deliver}? —YourFirstName"
Important: Your email needs to be that short. You'll be tempted to say more. Don't. Keep it short and sweet.
Method 3
The Virtual Cup of Coffee
Who it's for: High-value prospects you've connected with but haven't been able to get a meeting with yet.
What it is: A coffee cup, instant coffee, and a note saying "I figured if I wanted to invite you to have a virtual cup of coffee, I should at least buy the coffee."
Best for: Small addressable markets, high/very high value prospects, and people not responsive to traditional outreach.
